Jamaican goalkeeper sidelined after knee surgery
Jamaica International goalkeeper Andre Blake, who plays Major League football in the United States, is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
Blake, 24, who plays for Philadelphia Union, is recovering from a successful partial meniscectomy on his left knee, his club has announced.
Blake played in one league match last year, making seven saves in a 2-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo.
He has appeared for the Reggae Boyz nine times, since making his debut in a 2-0 triumph over Barbados in March of last year.
Blake played a vital role for the Jamaicans when they won the 2014 Caribbean Cup championship.
