Tracey Neville has been named head coach of England's netball team on an interim basis, replacing the outgoing Anna Mayes.

The 37-year-old former player will lead the English squad at this summer's World Cup in Sydney.

Neville, the sister of former England and Manchester United footballers Gary and Phil, will also remain in charge of Superleague champions Manchester Thunder until the end of the season.

Mayes has left the England set-up after four years at the helm.

Under Mayes, England claimed a historic first Test series win against world number one side Australia in 2013.
