BADMINTON: Turkey 's Tunali defeats Czech Republic's Pavelkova at Jamaica International

Ebru Tunali of Turkey defeated number one seed Zuzana Pavelkova of the Czech Republic, in three sets, in the Women’s Singles final of the Jamaica International Badminton championships.

The championships, culminated at the Alfred Sangster Auditorium, last night.

Tunali won 18-21, 21-10 and 21-17 in a close contest.

In the Men’s Singles Final, Martin Giuffre of Canada beat Emre Vural of Turkey 21-14 and 21-16, to claim the crow.

In the mixed doubles final, number two seed Ramazan Neslihan from Turkey got pass Solis Jonaqthan and Nikte Alejandra Sotomayor 21-18 and 21-12.

In Men's Doubles final, Guatemala's number one seed Solis Jonathan teamed up fellow countryman Rodolfo Ramirez to dismiss the Turkish pair of Emre Vural and Sinan Zorlu in 43 minutes, they won 18-21, 21-10 and 21-17 in a close and competitive encounter.

In the corresponding Women's final, it was a Turkish affair as Cemre Fere who is seeded number one teamed up with follow teammate Ebru Tunali to dismiss the challenge of the other Turkish pair of Neslihan Kilic and Ebru Yazgan 21-17 and 21-16, in a tight final.

A total of US$5,000 in prize money was split among the five different category winners, while the runners got a portion of the US$5,000.
