ATHLETICS: Bolt set to run in New York
Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt will make his first appearance in the United States in five years when he competes in the Adidas Grand Prix diamond league meet in New York's Icahn Stadium on June 13.
The triple sprint world record holder set his first 100-metre world record at the meeting in 2008 when he clocked 9.72 seconds.
His only other appearance in the US since then was to anchor a Jamaican 4x100-metre team at the 2010 Penn Relays.
Organisers did not announce whether Bolt would run over 100 or 200 metres at the meet.
Bolt will begin his 2015 sprint season with a 100-metre race in Rio on April 19.
He has also announced races for Paris on July 4 and Lausanne on July 9 as he prepares for the world championships in Beijing, China in August.
