Calabar high jumper claims second record at Champs 2015

Winner of the Boys Class 3 High Jump, Calabar's Lamar Reid books a record leap of 1.99 Meters.

Calabar's Lamar Reid registered the second record at this year's Inter Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA)/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships with a 1.99m clearance in the Class Three boys high jump.

Reid's effort bettered Ryan Chambers' 22 year record of 1.98 metres.

The other record was broken yesterday by Edwin Allen's Class Four 4x100m team in the preliminary round in 46.90 seconds erasing the old mark of 47.28 second.
