There was agony for Kingston College's Jhevaughn Matherson, after an aggravated injury forced him out of the Class Two boys 200m and most likely the rest of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships 2015.

Coming off the curve in today’s Class Two boys 200m semi-final and chasing Calabar's Tyreke Wilson, Matherson, the defending champion in the event, pulled up injured before being ushered off the stage by KC support personnel.

The loss leaves a huge hole in KC's efforts to dethrone Calabar but also leaves questions about the prudence of running Matherson, who also featured in the 100m, after he had only returned to the island on Sunday after receiving treatment abroad for his injury.

Wilson won the semi-final with a smooth 21.11 seconds
