Jack's River halt Port Maria's unbeaten run

Port Maria, Sandals/Beaches Ocho Rios and Jack's River all scored victories in the St Mary Maurice Clarke T20 Big Bash Cricket competition last weekend.

At Top Pen Oval on Saturday, Port Maria defeated Oxford by 200 runs.
  Batting first, the victors blasted 252 off 20 overs for the loss of just four wickets. Ronville Brown led the way with an undefeated 119 not out. He was well supported by Richard Creary who made 69. The pair completely dominated the Oxford bowling, blasting the ball to all sections of the ground.
Bowling for Oxford, Akeem McCalla took 2-45 off  four overs.
When Oxford batted, they were skittled out for a paltry 52 in 11 overs, as Claudius Thompson bagged 3-18. Tyrone Daley, 17, was the only batsman to offer any resistance against some accurate Port Maria bowling.
At Boscobel Oval on Sunday, Jack's River stopped the previously unbeaten Port Maria by four wickets. Port Maria made 131 for  six off 15 overs, with Ranville Brown continuing his rich vein of form stroking 51, while Shane Rhoden made 28. Orane Farr, two for 15, was the pick of the bowlers.
In their turn at the crease, Jack's River reached 135 for six off their 15 overs. Darrian Walker 36 and Christopher Green 35 were the leading run makers against Claudius Thompson 2-34.

On Sunday at Top End Oval, Sandals/Beaches Ocho Rios defeated Oxford by two wickets.  Oxford batted first and tallied 153 all out thanks to a punishing knock of 89 from Kamone Haye. Bowling for Sandals/Beaches Amhal Reid took 3-22 to wreck the bottom half of the batting.
The hotelmen tallied 154 for eight with Adrian White 38 not out and Raheem McIntosh 30 being the main scorers. Akeem McCalla took 3-16.
