Edwin Allen High made it back to back victory in the Girl's 4x100 metres after winning the Championships of America event at the Penn Relays in 45.40 seconds, turning back favourite St Jago High into second in 45.86 seconds.

Jamaican teams took the next two spots as Holmwood was third in 45.94 seconds with Wolmer's Girls finishing fourth in 46.63 seconds.

Long Beach Poly out of California was the first team from the USA to finish, coming fifth in 46.66 seconds.

Coming into the Championships as the underdogs, the Michael Dyke coached team, with three members of his Class 11 record breaking team at the ISSA Boy's and Girls Championships who were joined by Saqkuine Cameron, was too good for their rivals.

After an even start from Aaliyah Hopkins, it was Patrice Moody on the second leg who put them ahead as she over powered Peta Gaye Williams of St Jago, From there on it was smooth sailing as Cameron opened the gap with young Shellece Clarke bringing them home to victory.

For Clarke who was anchoring for the first time it was a special  moment for her. "I was a bit nervous when I was told that I was going to run the final leg as I always run the third leg but my coach and teammates were very confident that I could delivered and this really motivated me", said Clarke.

Coach Dyke stated that this was a special victory for him." We came here as underdogs as St Jago came here with bragging rights but we were not deterred as I knew the Girls could have done it as we know how to win at Penns", said an elated Dyke.
