Beer Ballaz Promotion hit the road
With the sport of football at centre stage, Heineken, Red Stripe, and Guinness are on the road to serve up their Beer Ballaz promotion, where drinking enthusiasts, fans, and patrons will be able to win over $20 million in cash and prizes.
The three number among Jamaica's more identifiable alcoholic brands. Heineken is the 'premium beer' of top-tier European football the UEFA Champions League, which Jamaicans revere.
Imru James, Heineken's brand manager, notes that it brings international football flair to Jamaica.
"Our brand brings international flair and feel to the local execution of Beer Ballaz. Jamaicans love football, and Champions League is basically the World Cup of Club football," James reasoned.
Red Stripe is main sponsor of the national Premier League football, while Guinness sponsors the Guinness Street Football Challenge, featuring select teams islandwide.

Blandine Reid, head of marketing at Red Stripe, said: "Entrants will have a chance to win over $20 million in cash and prizes, so I encourage all to jump on board with us in the Beer Ballaz promotion. We are really excited, anything that sees our consumers benefiting, we are all for it."
The cash prizes include 70 prizes of $50,000, along with five $500,000 cash prizes. Other prizes include a Samsung 32-inch smart television/Samsung home theatre, entertainment stands, living room sets, 2014 Yamaha motorbikes, Sony play stations, and Digicel phone credit.
Guinness Brand Manager Andrew Anguin described the promotion as the ideal give-back to patrons.
"We (Heineken, Red Stripe Beer and Guinness) own all the major football platforms. Our consumers wanted more, so we tied everything together for them to enjoy with more rewards and excitement," he said.
