Three finals on at Primary Champs today

Three finals will be contested on day two of the four-day Seprod/Institute of Sports Primary Championships at the National Stadium today.

The boys long jump, boys cricket ball three open and girls high jump open finals will all be contested today.

Excelsior leads the standings with nine points after one final.

They are followed by Holy Family on seven.

St Benedict's are in third place on six points, Clan Carty is in fourth place with five points.

St John's rounds out the top five with four points

Excelsior's Toni-Ann Watson captured the first gold medal of the championships yesterday, when she won the girl's cricket ball throw open.

Watson won the event with a best mark of 48.97 metres.

Aliya McNaughty from Holy Family took home the silver in 43.89 metres while Sasha Harris from St Benedict's to bronze with a best mark of 42.67 metres.
