Manchester United had won six Barclays Premier League games in a row, but in their last two, have come away without a win after a 1-0 defeat at Chelsea and 3-0 loss at Everton.

That poor recent return means United, who had failed to score in only four of their previous 32 league games, have now gone 197 minutes without a goal. It is the longest they have gone without scoring in the Premier League since December 2013 when they last failed to score in successive games and in a total of 228 minutes.

Wayne Rooney is doubtful for the visit of West Bromwich Albion, so Robin van Persie, who came on late in the defeat at Goodison Park, could start a game for the first time since injuring an ankle in February.

Albion, meanwhile, should include Darren Fletcher, who made 342 appearances for United between 2002 and 2015 before joined WBA in January on a free transfer.

The visitors will again miss keeper Ben Foster, with a knee problem, and will be searching for the three points that should secure their place in the Premier League.
