Bybrook still on top
Bybrook will be hoping to drive home their advantage on today's final day of the Four-day Seprod/Institute of Sports Primary Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.
They lead the standings with 30 points, three ahead of St Benedict's, this after seven finals. They are followed
by Black River (25), former champions Naggo Head (20.5), Holy Family and Harbour View on 16 each, Clan Carthy (15), Red
Hills (12), Kensington and Excelsior on nine each. Defending champions New Providence are in 13th place on five points.
Beyonce Sinclair of Kensington was the star of the day, as she comfortably won the girls' long jump open with a leap of 4.77 metres. Shanae Hibbert of Portsmouth was second with a best of 4.54m ahead of Holy Family's Tyice Richards with a leap of 4.49m.
Harbour View's Bebeto Boyd won the boys' high open ahead of Ronaldo Fletcher of St Benedict's and Bybrook's Ronel Smith. All three cleared 1.45m but Boyd won the event after he achieved the mark on his first attempt. Twenty-seven finals will be contested on today's final day with the first event set for 9 a.m.
