Queens Park Rangers won promotion via the play-off final last season, but defeat at the Etihad Stadium could see them suffer a speedy return. Currently on 27 points, if they lose and other results go against them, they will go down.

Last weekend, they lost 2-1 at Liverpool, leaving them with just one win from their last 10 games in the Barclays Premier League.

Rangers have won twice away from home, equalling their fewest away victories in the Premier League (in 2012-13).

Rangers last won at City in March 2000 in the First Division (now Championship), but in six Premier League visits, Rangers have won just once (in May 1995) while losing four and drawing one.

They face a City side bidding to finish second after winning the title a year ago. City are 13 points behind champions Chelsea, level on points with third-place Arsenal, though the Gunners have a game in hand.
