National Trials: Schoolboys Williams, Hyde through to 400m hurdles final

Schoolboys Marvin Williams and Jaheel Hyde have both booked their spots in Friday's 400m hurdles final at the JAAA/SVL National Senior Championships.

Williams ran a personal best 49.40 to upstage defending champion Roxroy Cato, 49.96 and Olympic finalist Leford Green, 49.97 to win his heat, while Hyde, 49.83 had to settle for second place behind Annsert Whyte, 49.00 with Andre Clarke, 49.87 taking third.

Javarn Gallimore 49.94 is also through to the final after wining his heat ahead of Josef Robertson, 50.45 and Isa Phillips, 50.47.

The men's 400m hurdles final faces the starter at 8:20 p.m.
