World junior 400 metre hurdles champion Jaheel Hyde has pulled out of Jamaica's team to this year's Pan American Junior Championships in Canada.

Hyde said in a media release that he has been advised by his doctor to end his season in order to rest and recover from fatigue and soreness in his muscles.

The Wolmer's boys track star did not compete in the finals of the 400 metres hurdles at the JAAA National Senior Championships two weeks ago due to an aggravated hamstring injury.

Hyde said he hopes to be fresh for a greater 2016 return.
