Former FIFA VP Webb to make first court appearance in US today
Former FIFA Vice-President Jeffrey Webb is to make his first court appearance in the United States today as part of the massive corruption scandal that has engulfed the world's football governing body.
Federal prosecutors in New York say Webb will be arraigned at 2 o’clock local time.
It comes days after the 50-year-old Cayman native agreed to be extradited from Switzerland, where he had been in custody since he was arrested in May.
He is accused of accepting bribes worth millions of dollars in connection with the sale of marketing rights.
