AUDIO: Usain Bolt on his race, injury and Beijing
Following his season best-equalling 9.87-second run in London twice today, triple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt spoke with The Gleaner's Andre Lowe and other reporters about his performance and other matters.
What do you think about your race?
“It (the heat) was good for me, but the finals wasn’t as good.”
How low can you go in Beijing?
“I don’t know. It’s all about the time that you put in.”
Who were you sending a message to?
“I went out there trying to get everything right, that was the key thing for me.”
Any lingering effects after injury?
“No. I’m good, I think I may go to see the doctor just to ensure that everything is fine, but I’m feeling good so far.”
How determined are you to prove that you are number one in the world?
“I was never number two, so until I retire that’s the plan.
