Usain Bolt was sluggish out of the blocks but when he got into his running he even had time to walk across the line in a smashing 9.87 seconds.

Mike Rodgers was second in 9.92 and Kim Collins was third in 10.02.

In the first heat, Kemar Bailey-Cole looked to have a lot in reserve, winning in 10.02 ahead of Jimmy Vicaut, 10.05 and Nesta Carter, 10.08.
