Forbes came nowhere close to his season best of 8.16m, which would have seen him progress to the final.

Damar Forbes failed in his bid to qualify for the final of the men’s long jump at the 15th IAFF World Championships unlike he did in Moscow after putting in a below par performance in the qualifiers.

The national champion came nowhere close to his season best of 8.16m, which would have seen him progress.

His longest leap was 7.62m

The other efforts for the 24-year-old were measured at 7.61m.

The American Jeff Henderson leads all qualifiers into the final set for 6:25 a.m. Tuesday with his mark of 8.36m
