King Bolt reigns supreme... takes 200m gold again
Usain St Leo Bolt is the sprint double champion at a senior global championship for the fifth time.
Bolt added the World Championships 200m gold to his 100m title at the 2015 games in superb form to silence Justin Gatlin and earn Jamaica's fifth medal of the event so far.
Bolt landed home in a season best 19.55 seconds.
"The 200m is my pet event, so it wasn’t a doubt that I would win," Bolt said.
"When it comes to the 200m I will not be beaten."
Gatlin, as he did in the 100m final, had to settle for silver.
South Africa’s Anaso Jobodwana took the bronze.
The 29-year-old Bolt was winning his fourth straight 200m World Championship title.
Bolt, who also won a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships, is now within one medal of Merlene Ottey as the Jamaican athlete with the most medals of all time in the 200m at the World Championships.
