Shericka Jackson wins 400m bronze for Jamaica

Shericka Jackson has claimed Jamaica’s fourth medal at the ongoing 15th IAAF World Championships.

The event was won by America’s Allyson Felix in world leading 49.26 for a record ninth World Championship gold.

Shaunae Miller of The Bahamas took the silver in a personal best 49.67.

Jamaica had a record four women in the final with Christine Day placing fourth in a new PB of 50.14.

Stephenie McPherson was fifth in 50.42 with 2007 bronze medallist, Novlene Williams-Mills running a season best 50.47 for sixth place.
