Bolt to rest for 4X100m heat

Bolt will replace Tracey on the last leg for the final while Nickel Ashmeade is expected to come in for the third leg.

Double sprint World Champion, Usain Bolt is expected to be rested for the 2015 IAAF World Championship 4X100 relay heat.

But, Jamaica who is among the favourites will  be fielding a strong team.

The quartet of Nesta Carter, Asafa Powell, Rasheed Dwyer and Tyquendo Tracey will run  from lane four in heat two at 11:20p.m. 

Asafa Powell is expected to run the backstretch while Tyquendo Tracey will anchor in the heat.

Bolt will replace Tracey on the last leg for the final while Nickel Ashmeade is expected to come in for the third leg.

Canada and France are expected to be Jamaica’s main  opponents in the heat as they seek to advance to the final on Saturday at 8:45 a.m.

Jamaica is the defending 4X100 relay World Champions and also hold the World Record of 36.84.
