Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been presented with the Hummingbird Medal, the country’s third highest award.

The medal was presented to Bravo last night for his service to sport amid celebrations marking the twin island republic’s 53rd anniversary since gaining independence.

Bravo, a discarded West Indies player, led the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force to the Caribbean Premier League title in 2015, producing outstanding performances with the bat and ball.

Bravo, the half-brother of Darren Bravo and cousin of West Indies legend Brian Lara, was also part of the Mumbai Indians team that won the 2015 Indian Premier League title.

The president of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board, Azim Bassarath, has congratulated Bravo, describing his award as well-deserved.
