Two schools expected to be title contenders in this season's ISSA/Flow Corporate Area Manning Cup competition will bow into action this afternoon.

Title favourites St George's College take on Kingston Technical in Group C, and Hydel play Greater Portmore in Group B.

St George's College have retained a host of top players from last season, including Alex Marshall, Gregory Messam Jr and Shevon Stewart, and are expected to pile on the pressure on their opponents this afternoon at Winchester Park on North Street.

In other Group C matches, Innswood High entertain Ardenne High at Chedwin Park, and Eltham High take on Denham Town High at Eltham.

Group B favourites Hydel High have lost a number of key players who helped them to the quarter-final stage last year, but under returning coach Geoffrey Maxwell, they are expected to be competitive and should start with a win.

Dunoon Technical High host Haile Selassie High at Rockfort field, and Cumberland High play Papine High at Cumberland in two other Group B games.

In Group F, the matches scheduled are Excelsior High versus Ascot High, Jonathan Grant High versus Norman Manley High, and Spanish Town High versus Vauxhall High at the Spanish Town Prison Oval. All matches kick off at 3:30 p.m.
