Clarendon too hot for Kellits

Kellits High suffered one of the biggest defeats of the 2015 ISSA-Flow daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition, a thumping 13-0 loss to reigning champions Clarendon College in a Group H game yesterday.

It was also Clarendon's highest score against any team so far to push them onto 13 points atop the group standings.

Lennon edged Thompson Town 1-0 to move 10 points and second in the group with Thompson Town fourth on three points after five matches with Edwin Allen nestled in the middle of the pack with nine points

lopsided six-love win

Kellits, meanwhile, are without a point with the group's return matches now underway.

Seigle Knight struck a well deserved four-timer in Claren-don's massive win, with fellow midfielder Craigton Charleton bagging a hat-trick also.

Over in St James, former champions Cornwall College (8 pts) eased to another comfortable win over Irwin High at Jarrett Park to retake the lead in Group A over St James High.

Cornwall College striker Jourdaine Fletcher again was the main threat, as his hat-trick, laid the foundation for his team's lopsided six-love win.

But it was Alrick Ottey, who got things going with a clinical strike in the seventh minute for Cornwall. Ottey would grab his team's second and his double, by scoring in the 43rd minute.

The second half belonged to Fletcher, who struck his first (Cornwall's third) in the 55th minute.

He then found the net two minutes later in the 57th and completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute for Cornwall, who looked much better than their previous outing against group rival St James High in a game which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
