Top male athlete of the year - UK magazine readers vote for Bolt

Bolt earned 31.1 per cent of the votes to beat Briton's double world champion Mo Farah, who received 20.4 per cent of the votes while the IAAF's World Athlete of the year Ahston Eaton picked up 16.8 per cent of the votes.

Triple Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has been voted Athletics Weekly Readers’ Choice Magazine awards top male athlete of the year.

Bolt earned 31.1 per cent of the votes to beat Briton's double world champion Mo Farah, who received 20.4 per cent of the votes while the IAAF's World Athlete of the year Ahston Eaton picked up 16.8 per cent of the votes. 

Meanwhile, reining world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill topped the votes on the women's side with 38.9 per cent.

She finished ahead of world 200 metres champion Dafne Schippers who collected 27.1 per cent of the votes.
