Portmore United edged Harbour View 1-0 in their Red Stripe Premiere League  Monday night encounter at the Harbour View Mini Stadium last night.

Substitute Ricardo Morris netted the all important goal for Portmore in the 72nd minute.

The victory has moved Portmore to the top of the standings on 40 points, two ahead of defending champions Arnett Gardens and third place Montego Bay United who are on 37 points.

The speedy but skillfull Morris broke inside Harbour View's penalty area then dribbled around the goalkeeper to calmly net it home from point blank range.

A few minutes later, Tremaine Stewart came close to doubling Portmore's lead, but his effort failed over the cross bar.

Harbour View tried desperately to bring themselves back into the game, but they were kept at bay by Portmore's very organised defensive unit.
