There was heavy police presence on Law Street as political rivals in Tel Avi and South Side cast their votes at polling station in the Kingston Central constituency.

Several early voters turned up at Parade Gardens Community Centre in Tel Aviv and waited in a small queue to cast their votes.

"Mi come see mi madda and di res a mi family voting from me a baby and I just like it," Claudette Facey told The Gleaner.” I had to come out early and vote for my party,” she ended.

Kingston central is one of the constituencies marked by police as priority in this general election. Uniformed, plain clothes police men as well as solders were seen lined on Law Street where both communities meet.
