Football fan Ashauni Steadman left the island yesterday to see his favourite team, Liverpool FC, play live in the English Premier League (EPL) this weekend.

The Thornton, St Elizabeth, resident was the lucky winner of the FLOW Football App competition which offered a trip for two to the United Kingdom to see an EPL match live, along with luxury accommodation, transportation, and spending money.

According to a release from FLOW, Steadman said he was in disbelief when he received the call from FLOW advising that he was the winner.

"A few weeks ago, I got a text on my phone about the app and the competition. After I downloaded it, I began to enjoy the live audio coverage and other features that it offered," he shared. Little did he know that soon he would be on his way to see his favourite team, which he followed using the app.

"This is like a dream. It's like I am still dreaming," he said, overjoyed as he collected his travel documents at the FLOW corporate offices on Tuesday.

Steadman is one of two prize winners selected from the Caribbean by FLOW. The first winner, Alton Audain, a resident of Dominica, recently returned from the United Kingdom, where he watched the Arsenal versus Crystal Palace match at the Emirates Stadium in London.

FLOW will be the exclusive regional broadcaster of the 2016-17 Premier League season set to begin in August.
