Jamaica's Women's Beach Volleyball team moves into final round
Jamaica's Women's Beach Volleyball team advanced to the fourth and final round of North Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Olympic Games qualification following a 3-2 victory over St Lucia in El Salvador yesterday.
The win placed Jamaica into the sixth and last qualification spot. However, they could place higher as the team will engage Trinidad and Tobago today.
Earlier, Jamaica defeated US Virgin Island 3-1, but lost to Guatemala, 3-2, in games played on Thursday.
The members of Jamaica's team are Kai Wright, Danielle Perry, Sashalee Wallen and Alicia Perry.
The top six of 12 countries playing in the third round of Olympic qualification are assured of places in the fourth and final round, which will be held in Acapulco, Mexico, next month.
The Olympic Games are set for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this summer.
