ATHLETICS: Asafa to face Gay and Gatlin Saturday in Oregon

Former world 100 metres record holder Asafa Powell will face the American trio of Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Michael Rodgers in the men's 100 metres at the fourth meeting of the two-day IAAF Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon starting on Friday.
The race will also include Femi Ogunode of Qatar.
World-leader Omar McLeod, who is undefeated this season, will renew his rivalry with his Jamaican teammate Hansle Parchment in the men’s 110 metres hurdles.
The field will also include Americans Aries Merritt and David Oliver.
Elaine Thompson will make her seasonal debut in the 200 metres, which also comprises of world champion Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands and Americans Tori Bowie and Jenna Prandin.
O’Dayne Richards will compete on Friday's opening day in the men’s shot put.
He will be the only Jamaican in action on the day.
Other Jamaicans down to compete are Rusheen McDonald in the men’s 400 metres and Shericka Jackson and Stephenie Ann McPherson in the women’s 400 metres.
