Father's Day shoot at Knolford

The Proven Wealth-sponsored Father's Day Skeet Challenge is on at the Knolford Polo Ranch in Riversdale, St Catherine, this morning.

Today's entry fee will be $1,500 for men only, while ladies and juniors will enter free. Registration will get under way between the hours of 8:30 and 10 a.m.

It will be followed by the customary shotgun start.

The class divisions of A to E, Juniors, sub juniors, ladies and hunters will battle for honours today, while prizes will be awarded to champions and runners-up in the respective classes.

Craig Simpson, Shaun Barnes and reigning national champion Christian Sasso will be the leading shooters today in the men's A Class.

Geoffrey Ziadie and Robert Yap Foo are also expected to do well.

NCB Capital Markets Junior top gun Brandon Reid could also battle his senior counterparts for top honours, while girls' A Class holder Leah Azan could get her second successive win.

Shots will be on sale at a cost of $2,000 for 12 and 20 gauges at the event.

Event sponsors include Ford, Zoukie Trucking, WATA, Rum-Bar Rum, and Art and Photo.
