Marlon Samuels hit a magnificent 125 to lift the West Indies to 282 for eight off their allotted 50 overs in today's crucial Tri-Nations Series match against Australia at Kensingston Oval in Barbados.

Samuels slammed 14 fours and two sixes while facing 133 balls and shared in a big 192-run stand with wicketkeeper Denish Ramdin.
Ramdin fell nine runs short of his century after hitting six fours and two sixes off 92 balls.

The two rescued the West Indies from a precarious 31 for three following the fall of  opener Johnson Charles for zero without a run on the board, Darren Bravo for 15 and Andre Fletcher for nine.

The leading bowler for Australia was fastman  Mitchell Starc with three for 51. Fellow pacer James Faulkner bagged two for 56.

The West Indies who were sent in after losing the toss, entered today's match at the bottom of the table with eight points, four short of leaders South Africa and three behind Australia.
