#JaSeniorTrials: In-form Elaine Thompson fastest qualifier in women’s 100m semi-final

Elaine Thompson was in ominous form as she posted the fastest qualifying time in advancing to the final of the women’s 100m at the JAAA Supreme Ventures National Senior Championships at the National Stadium.

Thompson, running in semi-final one, raced to 10.85 seconds to win ahead of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, 11.12.

Simone Facey had the second fastest qualifying time as she won heat two in a time of 11.04 seconds with former National champion Veronica Campbell-Brown close behind in 11.11 seconds.

Christania Williams won the final heat in 11.10 seconds ahead of Kali Davis-White, 11.2 seconds
