Simply The Best to give Super-6 players flying start

Assistant trainer Clive Carlos (left) and trainer Lawrence Freemantle lead ARIZONA GOLD, with jockey Robert Halledeen aboard, to the winners’ enclosure following his win in the Henry George Harrison Sr Memorial Cup feature on Wednesday at Caymanas Park.

The speedy three-year-old filly SIMPLY THE BEST should give Super-6 players a flying start in the 3-y-o restricted stakes to be contested by seven starters over the straight five course.

Although racing for the first time since her fast-time win over 1100 metres in January, the lightly-raced daughter of Adore The Gold - Supa Lei bids for her third win from five starts and having impressed at exercise in preparation for this race, will prove hard to beat with only 50.0kg and back to form jockey Oneil Mullings riding for 14-time champion trainer Philip Feanny. The consistent POLLY B, who has good speed, looks her obvious danger.

JUNIOR DON, who ran two very good races in defeat recently, holds the key to the second race over the straight five course especially with Jevanne Erwin retaining the ride in a field of seven. The 5-y-o gelding from the stables of Steven Todd faces his easiest task for some time and having won over the straight in the past, should lead home main rivals SANTANA and TOUCH DE ROAD in a field of seven.

PAPER N LACE who has been knocking at the door lately, is a strong fancy to win the third race over 1500 metres for $450,00 - $400,000 claiming horses.

Trained by Fitzgerald Richards, the seven-year-old was a fast-finishing third to BIGBROWNGREYYHOPE over 1300 metres on a $450,000 claiming tag recently and prior to that finished third to CONCUR and SIR SOUTH in a blanket finish over 1400 metres.

With connections retaining the services of competent 3.0kg claiming apprentice Javaneil Patterson, PAPER N LACE should win from OUR CREATION and UNBREAKABLE, both proven campaigners in the nine-strong field.

FAST FINISH

The fourth race over 1400 metres for maiden four-year-olds and up should be won by the lightly raced filly VENUSINBLUEJEANS, who caught the eye on Wednesday when a fast-finishing fourth in a blanket finish to KINGS OF JORDON over the straight. With promising apprentice Jerome Innis up again and the longer distance more suitable, 'VENUS' should win from MR. TOPPER TOP MAN, with in-form Aaron Chatrie replacing the sparingly-used Leo Miller.

The last two races in the first Super-6 should be won by "Horse of the Year' SEEKING MY DREAMS under customary rider Omar Walker, then close all bets with the well-forward debutante LUNAR ROCKET (working well ) in the sixth race for maiden three-year-olds. Their respective dangers are the reigning champion sprinter POKER STAR in the fifth for the Eros Trophy grade one feature over 1400 metres and VELOCIDAD in the sixth.
