Leaders Jamaica Tallawahs made a magnificent start to their clash with Barbados Tridents at Sabina Park, posting 195 for five off 18 overs in their rain-interrupted HERO Motocorp Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 showdown.

Sent in to bat, the Tallawahs were propelled by opener Chadwick Walton, who belted 97, to fall short of what would be his first Twenty20 hundred.

The stylish-right hander, who has been getting starts interspersed by a few run outs during the tournament thus far, slammed five sixes and nine fours en route to his second best Twenty20 total.

He was supported by Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara, made an even 50, while rookie batsman, Rovman Powell continuing to impress, ended unbeaten on 34 off 14 deliveries.
