India close day two on 358 for five against West Indies at Sabina Park

The West Indies bowled better in the last two sessions of Sunday than the first to slow down India's reply to their first innings total of 196 at Sabina Park.

The visitors closed the second day of the second Royal Stag Test on 358 for five in their first innings at Sabina Park.

This is an overall lead of 162 runs.

Opener Lokesh Rahul, who demonstrated calculated attack with stout defence, led the way for the visitors with 158.

In what was his highest Test score in six matches, the right-hander slammed three sixes and 15 fours during his innings.

Middle order batsmen, Chesteshwar Pujara, 44, captain Virat Kohli, 46, and Ajinka Rahane, 42 not out were the next best scorers.

Part-time off-spinner Roston Chase finished with two for 91 with fast bowler, Shannon Gabriel supporting with one for 50.

Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, 17 not out, will resume batting with Rahane tomorrow.

The regional side trails 1-0 in their four-match series.
