England win U21 series

Jamaica's Under-21 netball team turned in a disappointing performance in the fourth game against England Under-21s, losing 46-37 last night to surrender the five-match series 3-1 at the National Indoor Sports Centre.

Needing to win to level the series, the young Sunshine Girls trailed 10-9 after the first quarter, 27-14 at half-time and 34-26 at the end of the third period.

Amy Clinton led the line for the visitors with 27 points from 32 attempts, followed by Ashleigh Dekker with 10 from 13, Lucy Stephenson with eight from eight and Lucy Parize with one from two.

Simone Gordon was the leading scorer for the Jamaicans with 16 from 17 attempts. Her best support came from Hasana Williams with eight from nine, followed by Shimona Nelson with eight from eight, Mischa Creary with four from four and Kestina Sturridge with one from one.

The final game is on today at the same venue, starting at 4 p.m.
