#RioGoldRush: Shericka Jackson cops bronze in women’s 400m

Jamaica increased it medal count at the Games of the 31st Olympiad after Shericka Jackson won bronze in the finals of the women’s 400m.

Jackson, who is competing in her first Olympics, finish third in a time of 49.85 seconds.

Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas took the gold medal in a time of 49.44 seconds defeating Allison Felix of the United States, who won the silver medal.

The other Jamaican in the race Stephanie Ann McPherson finished in sixth place in a time of 50.97 seconds.
