Reggae Boyz defender Adrian Mariappa is back at Watford Football Club.

According to a report on the website,, Mariappa has signed a three-year contract with the English Premier League club.

The defender, 29, has returned to Watford four years after leaving for Reading. He later moved to Crystal Palace, but was released earlier this summer. His last game for Crystal Palace came in May's FA Cup final defeat to Manchester United.

Mariappa came through Watford's academy, establishing himself at the club in the 2006-07 season before their relegation from the Premier League.

The defender is in the Jamaica squad for CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers away to Panama on September 2 and against Haiti on September 6 at the National Stadium. Both matches will kick off at 8:30 p.m. (Jamaica time).
