BRUSSELS, Belgium:
Kaliese Spencer came close to her season best (SB) at the Brussels Memorial van Damme Diamond League with a third placed finish.

Spencer clocked 55.05 seconds just off her 55.02 SB, to finish behind Cassandra Tate (USA) 54.47 and Denmark's Sara Peterson, 54.60 was second.

The Jamaican said she is trying to make the most of what she called a testing season but knows there is much work to do.

"It's been a rough year, but I'm trying to stay positive and look forward. I've made some spiritual commitments in my life as well, and I guess I also have to deal with those trials on the track as well," Spencer told The Gleaner.
