Last season's Red Stripe Premier League semi-finalists Humble Lion and Arnett Gardens meet in what is expected to be a feisty contest at the Effortville Community Centre today at 3:30 p.m.

In other games, UWI take on Maverley/Hughenden at UWI Bowl, Waterhouse play Jamalco at Drewsland, Montego Bay United entertain Boys' Town at Wespow Park, and Portmore United go up against Tivoli Gardens FC at Juici Park.

In a late game, Harbour View play Reno at Harbour View stadium at 7:00 p.m.

Arnett Gardens currently share top spot in the standings with Maverley, Portmore, and Reno after two matches. All four are on four points.

The 'Junglists' sit a point above their opponents, who lost their rescheduled game to Reno on Wednesday.

Rebound

Arnett Gardens' coach Jerome Waite is aware that the Clarendon team is looking to rebound from the defeat but wants to leave Effortville with at least a point.

"This will be a physical game, but we are not going to let that deter us. We are going to play as usual. They lost their last game and we won ours, so it's not going to be an easy game at Effortville.

"The main thing is to ensure we don't lose. It's early season and none of the teams have hit form. So the more games you play, the more the team will work in. So the most important thing is not to lose," he said.

With just two goals from their two matches, Arnett are yet to hit form in front of goal, but the veteran coach is hoping the team progress with the season.

"Goals have eluded us. We played two games and scored two goals, but the team continues to create chances, so it's just a matter of time," he said.

Humble Lion will be hoping that new players Ricardo Dennis, Rafeik Thomas, Dwayne Holmes, Hughan Gray and Gary McIntosh will find their best form and get them back on the winning trail.

Arnett Gardens will look to Damari Deacon, Fabian Reid, Carlloyd Walters, Dicoy Williams, and Shawn McKoy.
