The weather was good. The three grass courts were in good condition. In spite of this, the home team at Georgia Country Club, for the second year running, were outplayed by the visiting Racquet-eers from Kingston with a match score of 46-32.

The Georgia team consisted of Martin Hopwood, Roy Collins, Tammy Hart, Andrew Todd, Bruce Hart, Belinda Morrow. Tennis Captain Andrew Hopwood was markedly absent as he had gone fishing.

The Racqueteers were led by Norman Marshall, and consisted of Richard Gomes, Everton Morgan, Stephen Todd, Stefan Priestley, Rachel McLarty. This team had Tony Gambrill as non-present and non-playing captain as well as Oliver Clarke, present but non-playing deputy captain.

Umpire was Collin Gallant. Club hospitality was organised by Dimps Gallant, Sheona Muschett, Anne Hopwood supported by Tammy Hart.

"We had a great afternoon of sport. The Georgia Club never ceases being an amazing location for this important tournament now being played for the 13th year. Georgia did bring on this year some new and talented lady players but their fine contribution was insufficient to change the result. Custos Paul Muschett is always a most gracious host," said Captain Marshall. "We were not intimidated by the guard dog that accompanied one of their players."
