Donovan Duckie ... We have some areas to improve in the team.

Humble Lion will be looking to bolster their Red Stripe Premier League squad during the transfer window with the addition of three experienced players.

The Clarendon-based club has finished in third position for the past two seasons and will be seeking to bring glory to Effortville this season.

They are currently in fourth position on 31 points from 17 games behind champions and leaders Montego Bay United (35 points) and Tivoli and UWI FC, who are both on 32.

"We have to give thanks for the position we are in coming into the New year. The team is a little bit off where we should be, but we are not far from the leaders (MBU), who we have beaten twice this season," Humble Lion's coach Donovan Duckie told The Gleaner.

DONE DEAL

"We have some areas to improve in the team. Right now, we are looking to bring in about three players who are familiar with the league. We want players who can win the league," he added.

Duckie says no deal has been made as yet so he declined to identify any of his targets.

Humble Lion will next face Harbour View on Sunday at Harbour View Stadium, starting at 7 p.m, and, Duckie is looking forward to this game.

"We have played Harbour View already in the first round and, although they are struggling, Harbour View is a big club with quality players. We always play each game to win. This is what we have to do in order to win the league," Duckie pointed out. Humble Lion and Harbour View played to a 1-1 scoreline in the first round.
