1. Bolt on criticism from Justin Gatlin and over rivals ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics:

"I think they have not learned over the years that the more you talk, the more I will want to beat you. It's one of those things but I'm looking forward to it, should be exciting and they will feel my full wrath as always."

2. His thoughts after crossing the line to win his ninth Olympic gold medal:

"Just all emotions came out, just the joy, I've done it! It's been a long journey and it's been stressful but I've got it done and it's been a pleasure and an honour."

3. On growing older in the sport:

"It's getting harder all the time. I'm tired. People look at me and say, 'Oh, it's so easy what he does!?' And I'm like, 'It's not! It's hard!'"

4. On the legacy he wants to leave behind:

"I want to be remembered as one of the greatest athletes ever in sport, like Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan or Pele. But I also want to be remembered as a laid back, chilled, fun-loving person who inspires others."
