Bolt to speak at major Malaysian forum
The world's fastest man is among a list of 31 high-profile speakers down to address the Global Transformation Forum, which takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the KL Convention Centre, over the next two days.
Bolt will be speaking at a forum created to charge discussion and stimulate global change in key areas.
The Global Transformation Forum is the world’s singular platform for influential, global leaders to engage and share experiences and best practices on how to drive transformation.
Other speakers at this year's forum include Malaysian prime minister YAB Dató Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak; executive chairman at Alibaba Jack Ma; Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson; chief economist and senior vice president at the World Bank Dr Paul Romer among others.
This will be Bolt's biggest speaking engagement and gives an idea of how he might be spending some of his time after his retirement from competitive track and field this Summer.
International speaking fees can range from US$40,000 ($5.2 million) to well over US$100,000 ($13 million) for 'A' list celebrities, politicians, motivational speakers and business leaders.
Over 3,000 persons from around the world are expected to attended the forum.
