PENN RELAYS 2017 - Thompson leads Ja women to victory, men place second

PHILADELPHIA,  Pennsylvania
Jamaica's female sprinters are now celebrating another victory over the United States at the Penn Relays.


   Christania Williams, Kerron Stewart, Gayon Evans and Olympic champion Elaine Thompson clocked 42.25 seconds earlier today to capture the first event of the USA versus the World contest at the world famous relay carnival. USA  Red were second in 42.42 with USA Blue, third in 42.90.


    The United States hit back soon after, however. They won the men's sprint relay in 38.87 with Jamaica second in 39.01, The Dominica Republican placed third in 40.32.


  Running order for Jamaica was Kevaughn Rattray, Oshane Bailey, Kevaughn Smith and Jhevaughn Minzie.
