Tivoli, Arnett hunt Under-20 title
Tivoli Gardens' coach, Christopher Burnett, says his team has its sights set on defeating Arnett Gardens in the Alliance MoneyGram/McKay Security Under-20 final today.
"We are eager and looking forward to playing Arnett because we wanted to play Arnett in the semi-finals but we ended up playing Waterhouse," said Burnett.
"I think Arnett are looking forward to playing us as well," he added.
Arnett, who have only lost one game all season, come into the final on the back of a convincing 3-0 victory over Seaview Gardens in the semi-finals and coach Orlando Clarke is also very confident of victory.
"We have players who have played in the Under 20s before and are playing in the senior team as well," Clarke told The Gleaner. Tivoli will be hoping Wolmer's Boys goalkeeper Shemar Jemison can repeat his semi-final heroics which helped his team to beat Waterhouse 3-0 on penalties.
Arnett will look to captain O'Neil Anderson. The 20-year-old was a member of the senior team that won the Red Stripe Premier League earlier this month and leading goal scorer Kimanie Arbouine. The final will be played at the Waterhouse Mini Stadium, starting at 5 p.m.
