Trinidadian Keishan Balgobin continued to shine at Northlands Park, riding a triple on Wednesday to make all the headlines on the seven-race midweek card.

The 27-year-old scored in race three with 3-1 chance Parcam Cowgirl in race five, with favourite Wild Romeo before completing a fine outing with victory in the day's final race aboard 5-1 bet I Believe You.

With the success, Balgobin moved to 31 wins for the campaign, widening his advantage on third placed Jamaican Dane Nelson to five.

However, Balgobin remains well off the pace set by six-time reigning champion, Barbadian Rico Walcott, who is comfortably placed on 60 wins.

Balgobin got into the winner's circle for the first time over a mile when he used a front-running effort with three-year-old chestnut filly Parcam Cowgirl to slam the three-year-old and upward fillies and mares by 81/2 lengths.

The pair took command early and were two lengths clear at the half-mile run in 49.53 seconds, and even though Habida looked to challenge, Balgobin easily widened his lead to be unchallenged in the stretch.
