Tallawahs win toss against Guyana Amazon Warriors, elect to bat first

The Jamaica Tallawahs have named an unchanged starting line-up for their final Hero Motorcorp Caribbean Premier League encounter against the Guyana Amazon Warriors at Sabina Park.

The Tallawahs, who won the toss and elected to bat, have already qualified for the playoffs and are seeking to win in a bid to book one of the top two spots at the end the round.

A win would guarantee them two opportunities during the playoffs to make the final.

The preliminary round is being led by Trinbago Knight Riders on 16 points with the Tallawahs second on 12 and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, captained by Chris Gayle, on 11 points.

All three teams have played nine of their 10 first-round matches.
The Amazon Warriors, on eight points need a win to improve their chances of a playoff berth.

Barbados Tridents are on six points from eight matches and St Lucia Stars, one point from 10 outings.
